Hello again!

We are back in the swim of things, what a great way to start the New Year. The TSS swim team is gearing up for yet another AWESOME season of competitive swimming. The veteran swimmers started their weekly Saturday practices this past Saturday and this coming Saturday all members will join Ms. Elaine and myself at LSUS. We are still holding try outs on January 29 and February 12. If you are interested in swimming with The Swim School swim team, come give it a shot on either one of these dates at 11 am. So far so good as far as try outs are going and the veteran swimmers that attended this past Saturday did a great job on the first day back. I’m looking forward to the improvements that we will see from these swimmers.

UPDATE: There will be NO practice on February 5, March 12 and April 2 2011.

There will be a NEW parents meeting on February 12, 2011 at 11 am at LSUS. This meeting is for new parents only. Information about the program and what is to be expected from coaches will be discussed. I will more than happy to answer any questions you may have at that time as well. I will also hold a meeting for all parents in April.

Registration is open for swim team and your child can be put in the system at the front office. Fees for the 2011 season are $130. This includes the team suit, team cap, meet fees, and practice fees. PLEASE register your child as soon as possible and pay the fee. In order to attend Saturday practice your child must be registered and paid.

We will be sizing the swimmers for suits starting February 19 - March 19. This is the most important step to your child being comfortable. Please arrive no more than 15 minutes early on any one of these Saturdays to have your child fitted. I will also need 2 volunteers to help me with this project, 1 veteran dad and 1 veteran mom. If you are interested please catch me at the pool.

Ms. Elaine and I are very excited to get this season rolling. We look forward to seeing the improvements from the veteran members and the newly found confidence in our new members. Remember parents, you are your child’s #1 fan!
